Speed Networking Big Hit at Edward Jones

Members of the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce and their guests enjoyed a fast paced speed networking event today at the office of chamber member Jamie Rice of Edward Jones.

Rachelle Guitian, Edward Jones team member, greeted attendees with traditional nametags but also placed a nametag of a famous person on their back.

As an ice breaker during coffee each guest was challenged with finding out who was their famous person.

Once speed networking was about to begin, attendees were divided into two groups for two different rooms. 

They were then divided again to form an inner and outer circle or a straight line facing each other for four minutes of fast paced speed networking.  At four minutes a whistle blew and a new pairing was made to start a new four minute cycle of networking.

Prompt cards were provided to each attendee to get the ball rolling including "tell one thing about you that no one knows".  This proved to be a great way to get to know fellow chamber members.

The Simsbury Chamber offers monthly networking events, both in the morning and "after hours" to facilitate important "one on one" networking for chamber members.
