Spoiled Food Options: Your Trash Bin and the Transfer Station

Those who are inaccessible may have to wait or bring it themselves to the transfer station.

Residents who have their garbage picked up by Paine's, Inc. and are wanting to get rid of their spoiled food have several options. They can put their garage in their bins and it will be collected with their regular trash collection, which is on schedule.

"We're back on a regular schedule this week," said Mike Paine, owner of Paine's.

Residents who have more than will fit in their bin can bag it and place it next to the bin and it will be picked up.

Residents can also take spoiled food to the transfer station at 74 Wolcott Road seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. free of charge and place food in the dumpster provided.

All Waste Inc. is on its regular schedule and residents can leave extra bags next to their bin if necessary.

Both companies said if roads are impassable trucks will not be able to get down to pick up the garbage.

"As much as I want to care of them I can't have anybody get hurt," said Paine.
