Storyteller's Cottage to host Alice in Wonderland Midnight Dinner

The Storyteller’s Cottage Literary Dinner Party Series continues with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland themed dinner held at midnight on Saturday, May 25. Inspired by the classic novel by Lewis Carroll, this unique evening will feature a gourmet 3-course meal, themed decor and discussion, and charming literary games.

Guests are invited to attend dressed in their most dazzling and eccentric finery, the better to complement the fanciful Victorian rooms full of mismatched clocks, odd creatures in birdcages, and trees growing playing cards. From the evening’s inception at 11:00 pm, guests will be delighted by an array of oddly amusing icebreaker activities, all based in literature, interspersed with an enchanting assortment of curious and quirky foodstuffs, from color-changing cocktails to mysterious delicacies from far-flung parts of the globe.

A gourmet dinner will be served at the stroke of midnight, beneath a crystal chandelier hung with a charming collection of teacups sprinkled with tiny ribbon-wrapped envelopes containing literary conversation-starters. The evening will be full of charmingly unconventional surprises. While the menu for midnight dinners is kept a secret until the night of the event, food allergies and restrictions may be accommodated with advance notice. This event is BYOB.
