SIMSBURY, CT — Community members are being urged to come out Thursday and Friday, Dec. 15-16, to help the Simsbury Police Department collect toys for families this holiday season.

The department is hosting a "Simsbury Police Stuff-a-Cruiser" event at the Simsbury Tractor Supply store parking lot, 1603 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

Police will be there from 3 to 7 p.m. both days to collect new, unwrapped toys for those in need in the Simsbury community.

In addition, police have a drop box at "Necker's Toyland," 1591 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury. This is a local toy, game, puzzle and hobby store.

Expected to be on hand for the events will be the Simsbury Police Department's very own canine officer, "Clifton."
