​SVFC member Maximillian Kuczorski, becomes engineer on Engine 16.

Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company member Maximillian Kuczorski, Firetown station, recently received his regular badge after his probationary period, and his engineer’s badge for becoming engineer on Engine 16. He asked that the ceremony be postponed until his Grandmother Renata (right) could attend. Also attending were his parents Rita and Tomasz (left). During his probationary period Maximillian became a certified Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Emergency Medical Technician. He also earned his Q endorsement to his Connecticut driver’s license, indicating he has training to drive fire apparatus. Kuczorski joined as a junior firefighter in 2021.
