The Simsbury Public Library Wednesday afternoon is hosting a public hike on the so-called 'Ice Cream Trail.'

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Public Library Wednesday is hosting a somewhat unique event that encompasses two summertime activities — hiking and ice cream.

Of course, the name of the trail to be used is, even, being called the "Ice Cream Trail."

A 2 p.m., the library is hosting a "gentle walk" from Town Forest Park, 86 Town Forest Road, to nearby Tulmeadow Farm, 255 Farms Village Road.

There, participants can enjoy a little of the farm's famous ice cream at the site, something that will seem like paradise on a day expected to be into the 90s.

According to an announcement by the library, the hike is 1.25 miles each way from the park to the farm and children under 12 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
