'Coffee With A Cop' To Allow Public To Engage With Simsbury Police

SIMSBURY, CT — Locals with concerns about law enforcement in town can raise them to Simsbury police officers Wednesday and do so with a smile and over coffee.

The department's "Coffee With a Cop" program will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at The Coffee Spot, 570 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

There, guests can enjoy a hot coup of java (or cold) and hash out the issues with local police or, simply, thank them for the work they do.

"Join your neighbors and Simsbury police officers for a coffee and conversation," police wrote in an announcement posted on social media.

"No agendas or speeches. Just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know your community police officers."
