TGS presents adult comedy "Bedtime Stories"
Theatre Guild of Simsbury presents Norm Foster's Bedtime Stories, a sextet of side-splitting yet sentimental stories

Good humor will lift your spirits as the Theatre Guild of Simsbury (TGS) presents Norm Foster’s Bedtime Stories, a sextet of side-splitting yet sentimental stories
This show brings together six different night time stories. Each story intertwines into the next, each with the central focus surrounding a centerpiece bed. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom, or at least that is normally the case. But this play also challenges ideas about truth in intimacy at any adult age. But let’s be clear, this is not your traditional “bedtime stories” for children. The content is written with a PG-13 adult audience in mind. There are suggestive but never dirty references, and the play is never graphic or uncouth.
While comedy is primary in this play, with some far-fetched premises and outlandish comedy setups, “Bedtime Stories” focuses on important moments in contemporary relationships especially on the hidden intimacy of middle aged people. The presentation may not always be politically correct, but the audience will find any political incorrectness in the play to be mild, as they forget, for a while, the political incorrectness of the real world outside the play.
