Thieves Target Both Locked And Unlocked Cars In Simsbury: Cops

Simsbury police on Thursday said a number of car break-ins took place in town.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury police on Thursday said a number of car break-ins took place in town during the overnight hours on Tuesday into Wednesday.

Some vehicles were left unlocked, while other vehicles were "damaged in order to gain access," police said.

Purses, money, credit cards and computers are among the items stolen, police said.

The incidents took place at the Simsbury Inn, McLean Home, Gillette Court (in the vicinity of 509 Hopmeadow St.), Hoskins Crossing (1 Hoskins Road), Belden Forest Court (40 Firetown Road) and Meadowview Apartments (971 Hopmeadow St.).
