Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville is offering a Healing Weekend November 9-10, 2013, led by an internationally-known speaker and author. All are welcome.
“We all have ailments of the body, soul and spirit. We all have wounded emotions, unresolved resentments, hurts that we have never forgotten or forgiven. Some of us have emotional scars from painful memories of the past. Some of us are crippled by guilt or shame or an inability to forgive. In sum, we all need to be healed in some area of our life. I encourage all of you to come and seek the Lord’s presence and healing power in your life.” says the Venerable Thomas Furrer, rector of Trinity Church, explaining the reason behind the Healing Weekend.
To serve those with various physical, emotional, and spiritual hurts, Trinity has sustained an active healing ministry since the 1970s. Over the years, this ministry, led by a Healing Team made up of church members and clergy, has touched many lives. The ministry uses prayer, healing services, and other ministries to reach out to those who are troubled.

Immediately following the 3pm healing service on Saturday, the workshop leader will be available to meet and pray with veterans and members of the military. Having served in combat with the Royal Marines, Father Mumford has a unique compassion and understanding for those who suffer from combat-related trauma and PTSD, and is the co-founder of the Welcome Home Initiative, which invites returning combat soldiers to a program of healing.
On Sunday, November 10, the 9:45am service will include a teaching on Christian healing, along with opportunities for individual healing prayer.
All are welcome, but the church asks that you let them know you are coming. Please register by calling the church at 860-651-0201 or emailing trinitychurch@trinitytariffville.org. The event is free.
