Two Men Caught Breaking Into Simsbury Home Sunday: Police
An emergency 911 call is being hailed as critical in police catching the accused burglars in the act.
SIMSBURY, CT — An alert 911 caller played a major role in the Simsbury Police Department taking into custody two burglary suspects at a local residence Sunday evening.
According to the Simsbury Police Department Monday morning, the two suspects have been identified as Connor Poole, 23, of Andover, Mass., and Eion McGee, 24, of Barkhamsted.
Police said both were charged with third-degree burglary; conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary; and second-degree criminal mischief.

According to the SPD, at about 5:54 p.m. Sunday, police received an emergency 911 call reporting a burglary in progress at a Stafford Road home in Simsbury.
Local police were able to swarm the building and "successfully apprehended" the two men, police said, adding the homeowners were not home at the time of the incident.

Simsbury police Monday morning thanked the Avon Police Department, Bloomfield Police Department, and Connecticut State Police "for responding to assist with securing the scene after the suspects were taken into custody."
Both suspects are expected to appear in Hartford Superior Court at an undisclosed date and time.
