‘Unsafe Tobacco Barn’ Closes Road In Simsbury: Police

SIMSBURY, CT — Firetown Road is closed to both motorists and pedestrians between Barndoor Hills Road and Holcomb Street until further notice, according to Simsbury police.

Police are advising motorists to use Barndoor Hills Road and Holcomb Street to detour the closed section of Firetown Road.

“Pedestrians should avoid this area,” police wrote in a post on social media. “This is due to a potentially unsafe tobacco barn.”
