Plan your next bicycle trip as you as you hop on a “virtual” bike following the path of Revolutionary War soldiers through Connecticut. This past summer Revolutionary War author and Bicycle Tour Company owner, Sal Lilienthal rode across Connecticut, 128 miles on the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail. Lilienthal will discuss the 700-year rivalry between the French and British, the American Revolution in a global context and ultimately the Colonists’ victory over the world’s 18th century super-power. Our everyday drives in Connecticut literally provided the backdrop for America’s Roads to Independence! Get a preview at Sal’s website, 'Revolutionary Connecticut' at ctamericanrevolution.com. Free and open to all. Registration suggested at 860-658-7663 or www.simsburylibrary.info.
