Connor Lisle delivered a eulogy for a man he never knew who had died decades before. Connor, a Master's School Senior, along with his teacher Lisa-Brit Wahlberg, will tell the story of his participation in the Silent Hero Project of the Normandy Institute. His research on Fairfield, CT soldier Harlan E. Rugg, a Glider trooper with the 101st Airborne who died during the invasion of Normandy during D-Day, led them to France in 2015. It was there that Connor delivered a graveside eulogy for Rugg based on all he had learned during his project. 'It was very moving...I feel like I do know him...It makes you feel quite small. It's very sobering,' said Lisle of the experience. Share this special presentation as you prepare to observe Memorial Day.
