Walker's Field Hockey Advance to Second Round in New England Tournament

The Ethel Walker Field Hockey advances to the second round of the NEPSAC tournament with a 3-1 win over King School

The Ethel Walker Field Hockey team was named the #1 seed in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class C Field Hockey Tournament. After compiling a 16-3 regular season record and being named Western New England champions, on Wednesday afternoon, the team advanced to the tournament's second round after defeating the King School team of Stamford in a 3-1 match at Walker's Simsbury campus.

The Wildcats will host Canterbury School on Saturday, November 19 at 2:00 pm in the tournament's second round.

"Playing in the NEPSAC Tournament is a huge honor," said Athletic Director John Monagan. "It is a testament to the work that Coach [Mimi] Duran and our girls have done this fall. To be chosen as the #1 seed is a reflection of how they have been viewed by peer schools. We are really excited to have the opportunity to play in this postseason tournament."
