SIMSBURY, CT — A local 2-year-old boy with an uncanny obsession with US Postal Service trucks is enjoying a little national notoriety thanks to a TikTok video and a national morning new program.

Simsbury resident Jessica Bergman, 36, recently posted a July 20 video on TikTok of a birthday celebration for her son Colby, 2, featuring a truck parade courtesy of the family's USPS carrier.

The unique celebration drew the attenton of the Today Show on NBC, which did a segment on the event Sunday prior to Colby's July 24 birthday on Monday.

According to the Today Show report, though, the truck parade wasn't the only surprise.

That's because Colby also got a mail truck himself — or a miniature battery-powered mail truck decked out in USPS logos and decals, according to the Today Show.

Amid all the attention, Colby was also named an honorary mail carrier.
