Water Main Breaks in Simsbury

SIMSBURY, CT — A water main break on Sachems Trail in Simsbury affected about Aquarion customers on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

A 10-inch pipe had broken.

Aquarion estimated that water would be restored to its 300 customers by 6 p.m.

No roads had to be closed because of the break, but police said alternating traffic was in place.

Police were advising non-locals to avoid the area.
