WEATHER UPDATE: Heavy Snow Hitting Simsbury Today

The National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday and there is still a snow chance until 9 p.m.

In a storm that already dumped several inches of snow on the area overnight, now we are firmly in the midst of the major accumulating snow.

The heavy snow will continue throughout the day accumulating an additional 7-11 inches and a total storm accumulation of 10-14 inches.

The snow is expected to finally taper off around 9 p.m.

Unlike most of the state that is seeing a major ice storm, Simsbury will likely see all snow.
