WEATHER UPDATE: Snow Accumulation Prediction Made for Simsbury
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the long duration snowstorm.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for a long duration significant snowstorm that is expected to dump between 10-14 inches of snow on the area.
Light snow is forecast for today, which will grow heavier and steadier late tonight and throughout the day on Monday, the National Weather Service predicts.
Hazardous driving conditions are expected and of course the worst of the snow is predicted to fall during Monday morning’s commute to work. Winds are also expected to gust up to 35 miles per hour as well.

But there is some good news once we get past this latest storm, there appears to be no new significant snow chances as of right now in the National Weather Service’s seven day forecast through Saturday. Of course that can always change too.

Tonight Snow. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Lows around 17. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent.
Monday Snow. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Cold with highs in the lower 20s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent.
Monday Night Snow. Additional light snow accumulation. Lows around 14. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent.
Tuesday Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow. Highs in the lower 30s. North winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
