This is a picture taken recently of the unfinished commercial building.
What appeared to be another avenue to game the system, was hiring Town Attorney DeCrescenzo to present their development before the East Granby land use commission.
This was done without the knowledge of the Town since Town Attorney did not file a conflict on his Conflict of Interest form.
Town Attorney DeCrescenzo was giving advise to the Town of Simsbury on the Silverman Group application to protect the Town while working for the Silverman Group in East Granby.
This conflict now requires the Town to hire a private attorney to represent the Town’s interest as the Silverman Group moves forward.
The Silverman Group has not fulfilled it’s proposed site plan on Phase 1 by trying to game the system through special treatment and should not be allowed to continue with another project before fulfilling the first contract with the Town. Promises made and promises not kept.
The Zoning Commission should reject this application until the commercial building is complete with a Certificate of Occupancy.
The Zoning Commission should reject the proposal to develop a 580-unit development.
