12 Days of Christmas

When do you put away your Christmas decorations?  The day after Christmas, New Year's Day, the next weekend, the Feast of the Epiphany?  Or do you keep them up until you can't stand them any more?  At the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany we celebrate Christmas until the Feast of the Epiphany.  Obviously this feast of when the Magi, the Three Kings, brought gifts to the baby Jesus, helps to remind us that Jesus was born for everyone, thus the Wise Men visiting from the far east.

While the secular world celebrates Christmas from September or October (and everything is drastically reduced the day after), we celebrate for 12 days of Christmas.  Now we are on to several weeks of Epiphany and our gratitude to God that a "star" let all the people on earth know of his gift of his only Son.  Our lessons during this time will even speed up the life of Jesus by discussing His baptism at the hands of John, but most of all how we can help let God's light shine in this world.  We will go from Christmas music to hymns of Epiphany such as "We Three Kings,"'What Star is this..," and  "Songs of thankfulness and praise."  Please come and join us at our services on Sundays at 8 am and 10 am and join us on this journey.
to celebrate the name of our congregation we will have a breakfast between services at 9 am on Sunday, January 5.  Would you like to join us and attend one of our services?  We would love to have you with us.  Come as you are.
