2 Cars Stolen In Southbury: Police

SOUTHBURY, CT — Two vehicles were stolen from the Lakemere Drive area Wednesday night, according to a police Facebook post. The vehicles were unlocked and had the keys in them.

One of the vehicles was recovered this morning. Another unlocked vehicle was rummaged through on Roxbury Road.

"Folks, we can’t stress this enough but please lock your cars and don’t leave valuables inside," police wrote on Facebook. "We don’t live in a bubble and crime does happen. We wish we could be everywhere at once, but unfortunately we can’t. Even if it’s for five minutes, that could be five minutes for someone to take your belongings."
