Volunteers would work with selected students in grades K-5 individually or in small groups at the district elementary schools. School staff will provide all reading literature and materials, as well as professional support, guidance, and activities.

Individuals who enjoy working with children and are able to make a minimum of a one-hour per week commitment would be the ideal volunteer to support students with their reading skills while fostering a love of reading. In addition, America Reads will provide an orientation for volunteers and perform a background check.
