SOUTHBURY, CT — A free learn-to-fish event is planned this week at Southford Falls State Park in Southbury, offering instruction and equipment for beginners.
The “Fish with CARE” event will take place April 28 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The program is open to adults and families with children ages 6 and up, and all equipment and instruction will be provided.
Participants ages 16 and older are required to have a valid Connecticut fishing license. Registration is required.
The event is part of the state’s CARE (Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education) program.
