SOUTHBURY, CT —State police recovered suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop near I-84 in Southbury, according to Troop A.
Troopers were dispatched around 4 p.m. on Friday to an erratic driver on I-84 westbound near exit 14.
Police said the driver struck the guardrail with a tan Hyundai Sonata several times and initially failed to stop and pull over when officers attempted a traffic stop.
They eventually pulled into a gas station off exit 10.
After investigating, troopers discovered the driver had various drugs and drug paraphernalia, including pills, syringes, a white powdery substance and other items.
The driver was arrested on the scene.
