Take A Tour: Southbury's 5 Priciest Homes On The Market Right Now

Southbury's priciest listing is asking $1.15 million, while the rest of the top five come in below $700,000.

SOUTHBURY, Conn. — From a duplex on 3 acres to a colonial-style Tudor with its own pond, Southbury's top listings this week show a lot of range for a town where nothing currently for sale tops $1.2 million. Using the latest listings on Zillow.com, here's a look at the five most expensive homes currently for sale in town.

No. 1 on the list is 671 Jacob Road, asking $1,150,000. The 2002 colonial sits on 3.74 acres and comes with a two-story foyer, a gourmet kitchen with cherrywood cabinets and a large breakfast island, a step-down family room with a floor-to-ceiling masonry fireplace, and a primary suite with a Jacuzzi tub and separate his-and-her sinks. A bonus room with skylights and its own gas fireplace, a new roof and a 3-car garage round it out. The 4,148-square-foot home, plus a 564-square-foot finished basement, has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and has been on the market 9 days.

Well behind it, at $699,900, is 209 Bagley Road, a rare find for the area: a duplex on more than 3 acres, marketed for an owner-occupant or an investor. Each unit has its own laundry and a pellet stove, and the primary unit adds a great room; solar panels installed in 2022 cover both. The 3,600-square-foot property has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 full, 2 half) and has been listed 5 days.

Rounding out the top three is 800 Fish Rock Road, listed at $672,900. The colonial-style Tudor sits on 1.75 acres with its own private pond, plus a finished walkout basement with a gas fireplace and a fourth room flexible enough to serve as a bedroom or home office. The 2,992-square-foot home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has been on the market 11 days.

No. 4 is 296 Lakemere Drive, asking $575,000. The 2,316-square-foot home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 full, 1 half) and has been listed 15 days.

Closing out the top five, at $549,900, is 976 Old Waterbury Road. The 2,682-square-foot home has 5 bedrooms — the most of any listing on this list — and 3 bathrooms (2 full, 1 half), and has been on the market 6 days.

Prices, availability and days-on-market figures reflect listings on Zillow.com as of Aug. 27 and are subject to change.
