SOUTHBURY, CT — The Southbury Celebration has been postponed by one week due to the forecasted nor'easter, town officials announced.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, the community event will now take place Saturday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 9 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 4.
The town said it has contacted previously scheduled food vendors, musicians and entertainers to invite them to participate on the new date.
Additional details about food vendors, stage performances and children's activities will be shared next week, officials said.
"We look forward to celebrating with the Southbury community on October 3rd," the town said in its announcement.
