Upcoming Open Houses In Southbury

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury's open houses this weekend run from a Lake Zoar cottage with its own dock to three Heritage Village condos, one renovated to the studs. A new house nearing completion, a 2018 Colonial with an outdoor fireplace and a freestanding home at Traditions of Southbury round out the list.

Seven Southbury homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, with prices from $325,000 to $799,900, according to Zillow.com.

Saturday, Oct. 31

40 Berkshire Road, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), $395,000. This two-bedroom, one-bath home sits on Lake Zoar with its own shoreline and dock, surrounded by forest. It has an open plan under freshly redone cedar plank ceilings and three decks, two on the water side. The listing says groundwork has been done to turn the trail down to the house into a driveway. It has 1,350 square feet.

435 Berkshire Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $799,000. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is under construction on a level 0.67-acre lot, with completion expected before the holidays, according to the listing. It has an open plan with hardwood floors and 2,700 square feet. The price was cut $30,000 on Oct. 18.

Sunday, Nov. 1

100 Shane Drive, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $799,900. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial was built in 2018 at the end of a cul-de-sac on 2.75 wooded acres. It has 9-foot ceilings, a living room with a propane fireplace, a kitchen with white Shaker cabinets and a stone patio with an outdoor fireplace. A family room over the garage has wood walls. It has 2,552 square feet, and the price was cut $15,000 on Oct. 27.

Three Heritage Village condos, which the listings describe as a 55-and-older community, are open Sunday. The listings say new Heritage Village buyers pay a one-time $5,000 fee to the Heritage Village Foundation at closing, and that the HOA fee includes cable.

198 Heritage Village #B, 1 to 3 p.m., $325,000. This two-bedroom, two-bath condo is a remodeled Sherman-style unit with granite counters, new stainless appliances, hardwood floors and a heat pump. It has 1,432 square feet and a $783 monthly HOA fee, per Zillow.

17 Traditions Boulevard #17, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., $565,000. This four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is a freestanding home at Traditions of Southbury, overlooking woods, with a two-story entrance, a butler's pantry and a family room with a fireplace.
