Throughout the year SAA offers EMR, EMT and CPR classes for the public. SAA sponsors an Amber Alert program every year and attends the many requests to promote education of EMS. The Staff and administration work with many local
organizations in our community supporting and soliciting EMS and volunteering. SAA is a not for profit volunteer ambulance organization. We depend on donations to support our operations and volunteers who give of themselves to answer emergency ambulance requests through 911. Please see our website for updated details, southburyambulance.org. SAA depends on persons in the community just like you to serve.
Pictured are some of the Southbury Ambulance Association volunteers who attended their annual OSHA training day on Saturday May 12th. Training Officer, Shayna Cieply recertified everyone attending in the use of Aspirin, the Epi Pen and the Glucometer for use in the field. We also held a table-top Mass Casualty Drill which was informative and fun. SAA’s member, Maria Mucci, said "OSHA training was a great experience and the MCI tabletop made me feel
confident about giving good patient care on an actual call".
