Photographer Ron Meisel exhibit at the Southbury Public Library during the month of January
Ron Meisel's latest exhibition will be shown at the Gloria Cachion Art Gallery in the Southbury Public Library from January 4th to January 30th. The solo show will consist of 26 panoramic photographs combining two ongoing projects, 'Greetings From Coney Island' and 'Sightseeing in New York'.
Meisel's photographs capture the fantastic rides and attractions of the historic Coney Island neighborhood along with images of classic New York City landmark sites. Immerse yourself in the attractions of Brooklyn's seaside playground, including the Wonder Wheel, the Cyclone roller coaster, Nathan's hot dog stand, and many of the thrilling rides of the now closed Astroland amusement park. Some of the sights to see in New York City include Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Battery Park, and Chinatown.
Ron Meisel is a Brooklyn based artist. He is a member of the Soho Photo Gallery in New York City. His work has been featured in group exhibitions at BWAC, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition; Daphne Arts, Brooklyn; here is New York, remembering 9/11, New-York Historical Society; solo exhibitions at Philip Williams Gallery, New York City; Phyllis Stigliano Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; and Soho Photo Gallery, New York. Meisel's photographs are in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn, NY; Brooklyn Public Library, Central, The Brooklyn Collection; Brooklyn Public Library, Coney Island Branch; Library of Congress, Washington, DC; and New-York Historical Society, New York.
