Southbury Training School Fire Department Local S15 Holds Successful Fill the Boot Drive

The Southbury Training School Fire Department Local S15 filled the boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) from Thursday, August 11 to Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Southbury, Conn.

Local S15 collected donations for the fight against neuromuscular disease at the Southbury Training School, located at 1461 S Britain Rd, Southbury, Conn., 06488 and the Southbury Plaza, located at 100 Main Street North.

Community members helped raise over $2,400.  Funds raised go to the Association to support summer camp, research, and programs within the community.

Local S15 would like to thank the residents of Southbury and Woodbury for their generosity and the Southbury Training School staff, the Southbury Training School Fire Department staff and the Southbury Plaza for their support.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related disease by funding worldwide research.  The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
