Better Lighting Installed for Southbury's Town Hall Flag

Honoring Southbury Town Hall Flag: The lighting of the Town Hall Flag is believed to be over 40 years old. After concerns were raised about the lack of illumination and the recognition of the improved functionality and efficiency of modern lighting, a new LED lamp was installed on Thursday, said First Selectman Edward Edelson on Facebook. 

Below is a picture of what it looks like. He encourages people to stop by some evening and let him know what they think of the new lighting.

“We are also experimenting with a solar powered lamp to illuminate the sign and driveway leading into Town Hall. We are not pleased with the first attempt but will keep trying,” Edeleson wrote on Facebook.
