Bill Could Require State to Pay for Southbury Land Title Search
The title search will take place on land on the south side on the Training School Campus.

Southbury Representative Arthur J. O’Neill has introduced a bill that would require the state to pay for a title search for land on the south side of the Training School Campus, Chris Gardner reports for the Republican-American.
A new subsidized senior housing complex called “Pierce Hollow Village” will be built on the location off Route 172.
According to the paper, the town attorney asked if there was any chance the state would pay for the search, which typically costs as much as $1,000 and O’Neill found there was no provision for the state to pay for it. O’Neill introduced the bill, which is currently pending in Hartford.
