Boy Scouts To Serve Veterans A Free Meal At Town Picnic
In recognition of their service, Veteran's and active duty military can enjoy a free meal personally served to them at the town picnic by local Boy Scouts.
In keeping with their annual tradition, Boy Scout Troop 1607 will be on hand at the Southbury town picnic on Memorial Day to personally serve a free meal to Veterans and active duty military. In addition, boys will be selling burgers, dogs, fried dough, cookies and soft drinks at the Ballantine Park Pavilion's concession stand.
Monday looks like the "pick of the weekend" weather-wise, so come on out with your families and support your local Boy Scouts and Veterans!
Concession will be open on Monday, May 27, immediately following the town's parade.
