Calling All Heroes – 2012 Relay for Life Kickoff is Set

Newtown’s Relay For Life organizers would like to invite the community to the annual kick-off meeting of the 2012 celebration.

The kickoff is set for February 1^st in the Newtown High School Cafetorium from 7 to 8pm.

It is Relay’s hope to repeat the success of year’s past and have the community come out to celebrate, remember, and support those who have had or have cancer.

At this year’s kick-off we will discuss our new theme, superheroes, as well as announce our plans to grow our Relay even further.

We welcome any and all who would like to participate in this life-changing event. In addition to the kick-off meeting, there are informational meetings scheduled for April 4^th, May 2^nd, and May 23^rd in the Newtown High School Cafetorium at 7pm as well.

For those that are new to Relay, Relay is an event to give the community an opportunity to fight back against cancer, raise funds to fight it, and to support those who have it. Newtown’s relay is a 12 hour event that runs overnight with teams of people camping out and walking in support.
