Special Olympics Athletes Swim at The Canterbury School
Nearly 90 Special Olympics swimmers participated in the 2012 Special Olympics Connecticut Northwest Regional Aquatics Competition at The Canterbury School in New Milford.

Nearly 90 Special Olympics swimmers participated in the 2012 Special Olympics Connecticut Northwest Regional Aquatics Competition at The Canterbury School in New Milford. Over 30 students volunteered to help with timing, awards, athlete escorts, lunch and more.
Special Olympics athletes from Northwest Connecticut came together to participate in the sport, spirit and splendor of Special Olympics. “This day is about celebration,” comments Nora Mason, Northwest Regional Director for Special Olympics. “We are celebrating the achievements of our athletes in sport and in their lives.”
Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT) Northwest Region will host our annual Regional Games Track & Field on Saturday, May 12 at Danbury High School, Danbury. Opening Ceremonies begins at 8:30 am and the community is invited to attend at no charge to cheer on the amazing accomplishments of these Special Olympics athletes.
