Brush Fire in Southbury Has Been Contained by Firefighters
A brush fire broke out Tuesday night in the woods off Berkshire Road, consuming an unknown amount of acres.

A brush fire blazed Tuesday night in the woods off Berkshire Road and was contained by firefighters at around 9 p.m., according to an article from the Republican American.
Firefighters worked together for several hours to get the fire under control, the article reported. The fire had been called in just before 6 p.m. and at least five tankers shuttled water to the scene, along with at least five brush trucks that provided water to the firefighters.
Strong wind and rough terrain made it difficult for firefighters to control the flames that consumed an unknown amount of acres. No injuries were reported, and smoke could be seen for several miles.
