The United Church of Christ Southbury

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers. 
We encourage all attendees to take advantage of the FREE PARKING SHUTTLE from 22 Old Waterbury Rd (only 500 yards away).
Entry to the Strawberry Festival is free. All activities benefit Local Missions and Outreach Programs of the United Church of Christ, Southbury. We look forward to seeing you there!

Southbury Food Bank is partnering with Sustainable Southbury for a community bottle and can collection fundraiser on Sunday, June 7, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at 800 Main Street South, Southbury. Please note: We have a new location in the parking lot behind the 800 building. Enter: driveway on the right side of the 800 building. Exit: at the traffic light.
For 44 years, the Southbury Food Bank has provided food assistance with dignity and respect to eligible local households through its client-choice food assistance program. As a small independent nonprofit, the organization depends on donations, grants, and community support to serve more than 350 individuals each week with nonperishable food, fresh produce, dairy products, eggs, frozen protein, and essential hygiene items. Proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support the Food Bank’s daily assistance programs.
Please note that EyeRecycle requires aluminum cans to be bagged separately from plastic bottles. Plastic bottles must be pre-sorted by size: under 1 liter, 1 liter, and 2 liters. Glass bottles should be packed in cardboard boxes to help prevent breakage. Participants using EyeRecycle bags with pre-sorted recyclables may use the express lane for quick drop-off and payment. Empty inkjet printer cartridges (not laser cartridges) will also be accepted.
If you do not have an EyeRecycle bag, volunteers will assist in transferring recyclables into approved bags for counting. Bags cost 50 cents each and may be purchased at the event, through EyeRecycle, or at Sustainable Southbury events. Please note there is a five-bag limit for this event.
