Bring your favorite takeout dishes to life, right from your own kitchen! Join Ian Chin in a charming historic colonial home in Connecticut for a hands-on cooking experience. You will learn to make five beloved Chinese takeout classics: Orange Chicken, Beef &amp; Broccoli, House Special Fried Rice, Crispy Spring Rolls, and Egg Drop Soup.
You’ll prep, cook, and savor every dish the same day, with easy-to-follow recipes provided so you can recreate the magic at home.
Each class also includes Chinese tea, soft drinks, snacks, and water.

Second Company Governor's Horse Guard Grounds

Saddle up and join the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard for a beautiful spring ride through scenic trails. This rain or shine equestrian event invites you to bring your horses and enjoy a morning of riding starting from their historic grounds.
Pre-registration is open now and ends on May 1. Suggested pre-event donation is $45.00, with same-day registration of $55.00. UCC Southbury Youth Host Raffle to Benefit Mission Work

The Southbury Juniorettes, the junior division of the Southbury Women’s Club, is partnering with Sustainable Southbury to raise money for charity events and activities. The Southbury Women’s Club is a local nonprofit service organization of women of all ages with different backgrounds and varied interests. They combine their time, talents, and energy to enrich the community.
The drive will take place on Sunday, May 3rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 800 Main Street South, Southbury. Please note: We have a new location in the parking lot behind the 800 building. Please follow the signs to our new location. Enter: driveway on the right side of the 800 building. Exit: at the traffic light.
Participants should note that EyeRecycle now requires aluminum cans to be in separate bags from the plastic bottles. Sort plastic bottles by size: under 1 liter, 1 liter, and 2 liters. Glass bottles must be brought in cardboard boxes to avoid breakage.
Items Not Accepted: High Noons, Surfside, Nutrl, any spirit-based seltzers, or special craft-brewery IPAs, because they have not contracted with the state redemption centers, and they must be redeemed at the point of sale. 5-gallon milk jugs, wine or liquor bottles are also not accepted.
