SOUTHBURY, CT - The Southbury Democratic Town Committee (SDTC) invites members of the community to enjoy a morning of creativity, conversation, and civic engagement at Canvas for Change: Paint & Sip, Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Century 21 Bette Realty Barn, 185 Main Street North, Southbury
This special fundraising event will serve to support Democratic candidates on the November ballot. Participants will receive all the supplies needed to create their own masterpiece while enjoying mimosas and light refreshments in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The class will be led by local Southbury artist Kelly Keenan, who will guide attendees through the painting process, making the event enjoyable for artists of all experience levels.
“Canvas for Change brings together art, community, and civic participation in a fun and meaningful way,” said SDTC Chair Michael Carrington.
“We’re excited to offer residents an opportunity to connect with neighbors while helping support Democratic candidates and the values they represent. Bring your partner or some friends, and family, and join us for a morning of shared creativity and camaraderie,” Carrington said.
In addition to painting instruction, and a take home completed work of art, guests will enjoy light bites and fellowship with community members who share an interest in local engagement and positive change.
Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. To purchase tickets please visit www.southburydemocrats.com by July 12 for planning purposes. For more information, email the SDTC at southburydems@gmail.com
