Cause of Bagley Road House Fire Still Under Investigation

The homeowner ran back inside and rescued two cats and a dog.

Thomas Wityak’s house was destroyed by a fire on Feb. 20, and investigators are still searching for what caused the blaze, the Republican-American reports.

Wityak was able to rescue his two cats and a dog from the 261 Bagley Road house. He ran back inside and helped them get to safety out of a second story window, reported Bill Bittar, of the Republican-American at the time.

Since the fire, Wityak has stopped by the Fire Marshal’s office to thank firefighters for trying to save his house, the Republican-American reports.
