Changes To Paramedic Operations Proposed In Southbury: Report

The proposal is being studied.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Board of Selectmen took no action last week on a proposal from the Southbury Ambulance Association to add an in-house paramedic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Republican-American reports.

Proponents say it will enhance life support operations in the town, while officials are trying to review the costs to the town and possible loss of reimbursement it currently receives from its paramedic providers.

No final decision has been made on the proposal.
