Class ‘LL’ Championship Game Details Announced
Pomperaug and Trumbull will face off on Friday in the Class 'LL' state championship match.

Pomperaug boy’s soccer clinched a spot in the Class ‘LL’ state championship game Saturday afternoon with a last second comeback win over Guilford. A short time later the Panthers learned the opponent that will stand in their way, #7 Trumbull (15-1-4). Sunday night, it was announced where and when the championship battle will take place.
The undefeated and top ranked Panthers (18-0-1) will attempt to win their first state crown Friday, November 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven.
The Panther’s path to the championship match consisted of wins over #17 Greenwich (5-2), #9 Fairfield Prep (1-0) and #13 Guilford (2-1). Trumbull beat #26 New Milford (3-0), #10 Simsbury (2-1), #18 Glastonbury (1-0) and #3 Norwalk (3-1) to earn their spot in the finals.
