Confirmation Candidates Collect Jackets for Waterbury Students
Two Sacred Heart Confirmation Candidates were Compelled to Help Children Receive Basic Essentials for the Winter Season.

On Saturday December 9 and Sunday December 10, two high school confirmation candidates, Cassie and Emmett Reilly, collected an abundance of coats, jackets and winter items for needy children in Waterbury, Connecticut.
Cassie and Emmett independently organized the fundraiser through Sacred Heart Church and with the support of the parishioners and local residents, they collected a total of 450 coats and over 650 hats, gloves and socks. After the collection was completed, Cassie and Emmett donated the items to the Children to Children program, which distributed the winter gear to children at Driggs Elementary and Buck Hill Elementary in Waterbury.
Cassie and Emmett were compelled to help children receive basic essentials for the winter season. They were ecstatic at the overwhelming support that the community provided after they created awareness for the needy children in the Waterbury Elementary Schools.
