Master Chorale to Present Annual Holiday Prelude Concert - Featuring “A Big Band Christmas”

The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, will present its annual Holiday Prelude Concert on Sunday, November 22, at 3 pm at the First Congregational Church, 164 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury.

This popular concert has become a tradition for many and features glorious sounds of the season in a splendid selection of distinctive choral music with brass ensemble and steel drums, which have been a highlight for many in our audience since we first introduced them in 2003. They are featured again this year in an exciting new calypso work by Tina Johns Heidrich.

The program also features “Big Band Christmas”, with songs from and in the style of this truly iconic era in American music: “I Love the Winter Weather”, “Boogie Woogie Santa Claus”, and “Christmas Is the Best Time of the Year”.
