While we are still in the season of Advent and waiting and preparing for the coming of Christ, we take a small break in our secular world at Epiphany. This Saturday will be our annual Cookie Walk which we think is 33 years old. the bakers in the congregation are doing their best to make stolen, fudge, tea breads, small pies, and, of course, lots, and lots of cookies. Many customers arrive early to get the best selection as our sales are brisk and quick. We will hand you a glove for you to use as you pick out your cookies and a container (or two or three) for you to put your items in. Once you have made your selection it is on to be weighed, packaged, and be sent home with you for your gift giving or consumption. this is a great way for you to have homemade items without all the fuss and time as we do it for you. Once you have made your selections, paid for them, please stop in to our sanctuary to see how pretty we think we are. The church was built in 1865, has wooden pews ( no seat pads which was a plus for one of our members and a reason he joined our congregation), we had colored glass windows with significance in each one, needlepoint kneelers at the altar with significance to our name, (three crowns for the three kings), symbols of baptism, and symbols of wheat and a chalice for the wine.
After visiting the church you can enjoy a lunch of half a sandwich and a cup of soup and visit the Upper Room to get your last minute gift items. We hope you will join us this Saturday, December 14, at our Cookie Walk starting at 10 am until 1:30. Lots of fun and goodies.
