ESPN Anchor and Southbury Resident Linda Cohn Sues NY Ice Rink

The New York Post is reporting today that Linda Cohn, an ESPN anchor and Southbury resident, had her arm sliced open when a coin machine was pushed over on her as she prepared to make an appearance this spring at the ice rink in Brewster.

She tweeted this photo of the stitches March 27.

“This is what kept me from taking ice w @WolfpackAHL today,” she wrote. “Some kids playing in arcade knocked over metal machine onto my arm. 25 stitches!”

She was supposed to play goalie. “Cohn, who has worked at ESPN since 1992, played goalie in college while attending SUNY-Oswego, and played for the boys’ team at her high school,” wrote reporter Rich Calder.
