Gere Gallagher "Everyday Captured" Exhibit at Schumacher Gallery Westover School

“Everyday Captured,” a collection of figurative paintings by Gere Gallagher of Woodbury, will be on exhibit at the Schumacher Gallery located at the Westover School in Middlebury, CT from January 3 – 23, 2011.In Ms. Gallagher’s paintings, the solitary female figure goes through the rituals of daily life.  She is unaware.  She is urban.  She is local.  Movement and gestures caught in the moment… brushstrokes allowing the process to be revealed.  These are invented paintings… not intended portraits.The Schumacher Gallery is located at Westover School, 1237 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT.  The exhibit may be viewed from 12 to 5 pm Monday through Friday and from 1 – 5 pm on Saturday.  Visitors should access the gallery from the school’s main entrance.  For further information call: 203-758-2423.
