Library Film: 'Time Traveling' Through Russian History

In a Russian film, with English subtitles, showing at the library at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, a modern film-maker finds himself magically transported back to the 18th century, where he embarks on a time-traveling journey through 300 years of Russian history. Made in 2002, this is said to be the first feature film ever created in a single take.

The movie will screen in the Kingsley Meeting Room surround-sound theater with infrared listening system available.

Because of licensing and copyright agreements, the library cannot list the titles of the films, which are sponsored by The Friends of the Southbury Public Library, with the videos provided by Connecticut Libraries and Blockbuster of Southbury.
