On Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9 AM to 3 PM, the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition and the Department of Environmental Protection will teach you about small creatures in our river (mostly larvae of certain insects) and why having them indicates excellent water quality. We'll then go out into the river and see how many of these critters we can actually find. The training will take place at the Woodbury Town Office Annex (located in the town office complex on Main Street at the intersection with Rt 317). Dress for wading and children must be over 12 and have a parent with them.
Join in the fun! Please pre-register by calling the Coalition at 203-267-1700 or emailing us at info@pomperaug.org
